Stephen Allred was born and raised in Taylorsville, Utah. After his sophomore year of high school, he moved with his family to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended Tuscaloosa County High School where he played basketball and graduated with an advanced diploma. Afterwards, he attended Shelton State Community college with the aid of an academic and music scholarship. While serving as a missionary in Hungary for two years, his family moved to St. George, Utah. He attended Dixie State College as a Trustees Scholar and music scholarship recipient. He became involved in the piano program and graduated with an Associates of Science in May 2007. In the fall of 2007, he began attending Utah State University and is pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management and a minor in Family Science.

At Utah State, Stephen is involved in student activities and serves as an officer in the Society for Human Resource Management. As a Huntsman Scholar he is excited for opportunities to study abroad and gain global HR experience. He anticipates graduating in the fall of 2010 and plans to work in the field of HR before enrolling in a Master's program. He enjoys various hobbies and sports, including playing the piano, singing, playing chess, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and going mountain biking.
