Workshop Summary - "Strategy Execution and Project Management Using Vertical Value Stream Maps"

This workshop will be an overview of the Vertical Value Stream Map (VVS).  The workshop will cover creation and development of the VVS, cross functional team support and methods, and using both strategy driven goals and time based goals.
Participants will be able to:  Recognize when a VVS should be used.  Create a cross functional team to support a project.  Enable a cross functional team to create a VVS.  Be able to manage any engineering project or Strategy deployment from a VVS.  Show timely success thru pre-determined metrics of a project.
THIS PRESENTATION REQUIRES INTERACTION.  PARTICIPANT INVOLVEMENT IS KEY!!!  CLASS PARTICIPANTS WILL ACTUALLY CREATE A VVS FOR A FICTIONAL PROJECT.

Biography

USSynthetic is the technology leader in the Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC) industry.  USSynthetic produces drill bit compacts for the oil and gas industry.  Production of the super hard materials is achieved thru the use of proprietary High Pressure/High Temperature (HP/HT) presses. In addition to oil and gas support, USSynthetic uses the HP/HT technology to produce wire dies and Gem stone enhancement.  
Bart Crockett and Paul Jones have 42 years of combined experience in the High Pressure High Temperature Diamond Sintering Industry.   
Bart Crockett has a BS in Mechanical Engineering in addition to 19 years of project/process management experience.  Bart has been key in technology development with multiple Utah based Synthetic Diamond companies. 
Paul Jones has 23 years with USSynthetic corp.  Skill sets attained by working in all aspects of the company have been instrumental in developing the engineering management methods used to drive process and project improvements.
